Sierra Testing

ITS recommends users to hold off on upgrading until the OS has proven itself as stable and reliable and the testing page has demonstrated that the OS works with our enterprise services.  Once ITS testing is complete, Sierra will show as supported on the Supported Software page.  Anyone considering an early upgrade should review the recommendations found here:   https://www.intego.com/mac-security-blog/how-to-prepare-your-mac-for-macos-sierra/

MacOS Sierra is integrated with Apple iCloud. The University has no administrative custody or control over this space and therefore iCloud should not be used for any university records or information.  University supported File Sharing: OneDrive for Business, QShare, and Active Directory see File Storage and Sharing Service Comparison.

The following table summarizes the results of ITS testing of Sierra against university services and supported software.  This table will be updated as information continues to be gathered.
