Q. The Exchange Administrators Group name has changed.

Exchange Admin Reps for a department belonged to an Active Directory Security group called DEPT-Exchange-Admin.  They now also belong to an Office 365 Security group called DEPT-O365-Admin.  Going forward the users in these groups will be able to manage Distribution Groups, Rooms, Equipment and Shared Mailboxes in Office 365.  You can request users be added or removed from this group by contacting the IT Support Centre.

Q. Can I give someone else admin rights to manage all rooms and resources for a department?

If you need another individual who is not an exchange admin to manage all rooms and resources for your department, you (the Exchange Admin) can add them to the Resource Admin group that you own.  This will give them the same level of access to resources as the O365-Admin.

Q. Change to Mailbox Access Group Naming Convention

The name of the groups that permit access to Shared Mailboxes and User Mailboxes has changed.  The old naming convention was NetID-MAILBOX; the new naming convention is NetID-ACCESS.  The Access groups can only be modified through the web client.  ITS will take the users from the old group and place them in the new group.  We will keep both groups for a short time after migration so you can verify the people in the old-MAILBOX groups correspond to the people in the new -ACCESS groups.
