Download and Install Office 365 ProPlus Apps on a Mobile Device

Below are tutorials for downloading and installing Office 365 ProPlus for supported mobile devices:

Download Apps from Office 365

  1. Log into Office 365  
    • From the Settings menu, select Office 365 settings

  2. The Office 365 Settings screen will open
    • From the menu on the left, select software and then Phone & Tablet
    • A list of all the phones and tablets will be displayed
    • Select your device
    • You can now proceed to the Install section of this tutorial (below) for you device.

Install Apps on Your Tablet

Available tablets:

Android tablet

  1. The Android tablet screen will open
    • Apps for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook Preview are available
    • Click the get apps button
    • To access email without the apps, click the "Learn more" link

iPad

  1. The iPad screen will open
    • Apps for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Lync, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business are available
    • Click the get apps button
    • To access email without the apps, click the "Learn more" link

Windows 8

  1. The Windows 8 tablet screen will open
    • Apps for Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Lync, InfoPath, OneDrive for Business) are available 
    • Additionally OneNote, Lync, and OneDrive for Business are available as individual downloads
    • Click the get app button for each available app that you wish to install

Windows RT

  1. The RT device screen will open
    • Windows RT comes with Office, but OneNote and Lync and OneDrive for Business are available
    • Click the  get app button for each available app that you wish to install

Install Apps On Your Phones

What To Expect

  • While installing an app, you may be prompted for the cell phone number.
  • After your phone number is provided, you will receive a text message that contains a link to the appropriate store.
  • Follow the link to download and install your app.

Available phones:

iPhone

  1. The iPhone screen will open
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Lync, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business are available
    • Click the get apps button
    • To access email without the apps, click "Learn more"

Windows Phone

  1. The Windows Phone screen will open
    • Note: Office Mobile, OneNote and Outlook are already available on your Phone and do not need to be installed
    • Lync and SharePoint are also available
    • Click the get apps button
    • To access email without the apps, click "Learn more"

Android Phone

  1. The Android Phone screen will open
    • Office Mobile, OneNote, Outlook Preview and Lync are available
    • Click the get app button
    • To access email without the apps, click "Learn more"

BlackBerry

  1. The BlackBerry screen will open
    • Unfortunately, there are no Office apps for BlackBerry
    • To access your email with a Blackberry, click the "Access email" link

Nokia (Symbian OS)

  1. The Nokia (Symbian OS) screen will open
    • Unfortunately, there are no Office apps for Nokia (Symbian OS)
    • To access email, click the "Access email" link
    • To send and receive instant messages, click " Send and receive instant messages "

Other

 

  1. The other screen will open
    • Generic information for your phone is displayed
    • To accessing your email, click the "Access email" link.
    • To access shared documents, click the "Access shared documents" link
