Registration Process
Registration is required for all Workshops and Lectures.
Starting August 2010, ITServices has moved to a new workshop registration system, which is part of the Moodle Learning Management System. A complete listing of all of our events is available on the Workshop Descriptions page of our online registration system. All registration will now take place in Moodle.
Looking for Outlook and Exchange Training?
Because of the high demand for and wide range of materials required to ensure a smooth transition to Microsoft Exchange for all staff, faculty and graduate students, there is a separate registration system for this training. You will need to enroll in this separate system even if you have previously enrolled in the ITServices Workshop Registration system.

Using the Moodle Registration System
To log into Moodle you will use your NetID and NetID password. The first time you log in to Moodle, you will be taken to the profile screen where you will need to complete the required fields (marked in red) and update your profile. Subsequent logins will take you directly to the Workshop Registration page.
First Time Login
- Go to moodle.queensu.ca.
- Next, look under Course categories (left side of your screen) and click Workshops.
- Click on the ITServices Workshop Registration link on the left-hand side of the page.
- You will be prompted to log in with your Queen's NetID and password.
- If you have never logged into Moodle, you will also be prompted to update your profile by completing the required fields (marked in red). Click the Update Profile button at the bottom of the page.
- The first time you use Moodle (and the first time only), you will be directed to a page that says the following: You are about to enrol yourself as a member of this course. Are you sure you wish to do this? Choose Yes.
- You will then see the catalogue of sessions that are available for registration in Moodle. Please click on the Dates and Registration link for the session(s) you are interested in attending, and then click the Sign-up link in the Options field.
- You will be prompted to confirm your registration, and you will receive an email notification letting you know that it was successful.
Returning Login
- Go to
https://moodle.queensu.ca/course/view.php?id=102
- Login using your NetID and NetID password.
- You will then see the catalogue of sessions that are available for registration in Moodle. Please click on the Dates and Registration link for the session(s) you are interested in attending, and then click the Sign-up link in the Options field.
- You will be prompted to confirm your registration, and you will receive an email notification letting you know that it was successful.
Cancelling Your Registration
Cancellations are possible up to 24 hours in advance of a workshop. To remove yourself from a workshop, please do so from the Registration System:
- Login to the Registration System.
- Select the workshop for which you have registered.
- Under Options, click the "Cancel booking" link.
- Confirm that you would like to cancel your booking by clicking the "Cancel booking" button.
- You will receive a notification email, confirming your cancellation.
If you are unable to access the Registration System, please send an email to the ITServices Training Coordinator. NOTE: If you register for a session and do not attend and do not cancel your registration, there is a $75.00 charge.
