Queen's University Policies Relating to Information Technology

In May 2014, a new Electronic Information Security Policy Framework was approved by the Senate of Queen's University.

The Framework consists of a summary document, and three specific policies:

ITS will be working with all members of the Queen's community in the coming weeks and months to help them become familiar with the policies, and learn how to apply them in their day-to-day work.

The University Secretariat manages the development of policies and publishes all policy documents on its website. To view all Queen's University policies, please visit the University Wide Policy Library .

The Office of the CIO is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting policies, practices and technology investment strategies in support of the University’s academic and research plans. Learn more by visiting the Office of the CIO website.

ITS Related Policies, Procedures and Terms of Use

ITS has developed a number of policies and procedures for services offered to the university and has made these available to the university community for reference. The policies are supplementary to Queen’s University governing policies and our Service Level Agreements. They are intended to serve as guidelines that define the end-user responsibilities and terms of use for a given service.
