QShare Account Details

Personal Accounts

QShare Personal accounts are available free of charge to all Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students at Queen's University. Each Personal account has 200 Megabytes (MB) of storage space.

Additional Storage Space:

• Your QShare Personal account comes with 200 MB of storage space. If you require more storage space for your personal account, see the ITServices Service Fee page for details and complete the online QShare Additional Storage Request Form.

 

Group Accounts

Group Accounts require a Group Sponsor, who will act as the contact for all dealings pertaining to the Group Account. The Group Sponsor may be asked to provide an account code. There are two types of Group Accounts described briefly below. For more details see the QShare Group Service Agreement.

Departmental Group Accounts

Base Service:

• 10GB file storage
• Xythos Drive client, licence and software for Windows
• Backup and Disaster Recovery
• Delegated Administrator training and support

Enhanced Service:

• Additional file storage is available.  See the ITServices Service Fee page for details.

 

Ad Hoc Group Accounts:

• $100/annum service fee - includes 1 GB file storage
• Additional file storage is available.  See the ITServices Service Fee page for details.
• Xythos Drive client, licence and software for Windows
• Backup and Disaster Recovery
• Delegated Administrator training and support

To arrange a Needs Assessment for a QShare Group Account or to request additional storage for an existing Group Account please complete the QShare Group Account Request Form. The Customer Representative will contact you within two business days.
