National Cyber Security Awareness Month
Resources for 2017

Cybersecurity is a matter that affects everyone. Do your part!

  • Cybersecurity is everyone's business
  • Securing the internet is our shared responsibility
  • Own your online presence

National Cyber Security Awareness Month is a collaborative effort created between government and industry to guarantee that everyone has the resources they need to stay safe online.

The online world has become a very important part of our everyday life. We work, learn, plan and play online every day.

The Internet is a resource that we all share. This means that everyone has the responsibility to secure the networks they use, as well as their portion of cyberspace. If we each make an effort to ensure our online security, it will have a positive impact for everyone within the Queen's network.

At Queen's, the goal of NCSAM is to increase awareness about cybersecurity while educating the campus community on ways to better protect your devices, networks, data, and personal information from cyber threats.

Specifically, we will focus on the threats of:

Malware or malicious software

Phishing

Social engineering

System vulnerabilities
