  Enabling Cookies in your browser

  
  

  If you are using Firefox on a Mac:

  1. Launch Firefox. Click the "Firefox" menu item and select "Preferences..."
  2. On the Privacy tab, check "Accept cookies from sites"
  3. Use the "Keep until" drop down menu to set the length of time Firefox will keep the cookie

  If you are using Firefox on Windows 7, Windows XP or Windows VISTA:

  1. Launch Firefox. Click the "Firefox" menu item in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Select “Options” from the “Options” drop down menu.
  3. On the Privacy tab, check "Accept cookies from sites"
  4. Use the "Keep until" dropdown menu to set the length of time Firefox will keep the cookie

  If you are using Internet Explorer:

  1. Launch Internet Explorer then click the "Tools" button and select Internet Options from the drop down menu.
  2. In the Security tab click the "Default Level" button and then click Apply.
  3. In the Privacy Settings and click the "Default" button and the click Apply.
  4. Click OK and then restart your browser.

  Enabling Pop-Ups

  
  

  If you do not have pop-ups enabled on your browser, the site may not display as designed. To enable your browser for pop-ups follow the steps that apply to the browser you are using.

   

  Note: Some security software and toolbars may also block pop-ups.

   

  Windows 8

   

  Iinternet Explorer 10

  1. Move the cursor to the bottom-right and select the Search box
  2. In the Search box enter Control Panel
  3. Click on Network and Internet
  4. Click on Internet Options
  5. The Internet Properties screen will open.  Select the Privacytab
  6. Uncheck the box beside Turn on Pop-up Blocker
  7. Click OK

  
  Windows 7, Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows Vista

    

  Internet Explorer 9.0 on 

  1. Click the Tools button and select Internet Options from the drop down bar
  2. Type www.queensu.ca in the box 'Address of Web site to allow' and click Add
  3. Set the Filter Level to Medium: Block most automatic pop-ups
  4. Click Close

  Firefox 19.x

  1. From the Firefox drop down menu in the upper left corner, select Options.
  2. Select Content from the top menu.
  3. Uncheck the box beside Block pop-up windows 
  4. Click OK

  Alternatively:

  1. From the  Firefox  drop down menu in the upper left corner, select  Options .
  2. Select the  Content  tab
  3. Click the Exceptions... button beside Block pop-up windows
  4. Type www.queensu.ca into the field
  5. Click Allow
  6. Click OK

  Mac OS X

   

  Safari 6.x

  1. From the Safari menu, select Preferences
  2. Select the Security icon
  3. Uncheck block pop-up window
  4. Close Preference

  Safari 5.x

  1. From the Safari menu, ensure Block pop-up windows is unchecked

   

  Firefox 19.x

  1. From the Firefox menu, select Preferences
  2. Select the Content tab
  3. Ensure Block Pop-up Windows is not checked
  4. Click OK
