| Description: |
Ida (ITServices Desktop Assistant) retrieves, installs, configures, and updates Windows applications in use at Queen's. When Ida installs a package it automates the process as much as possible. Ideally you confirm the installation and do nothing else until the job is finished. Expert users (or the merely paranoid) can demand more control over the process.
Ida replaces Packman and has newer versions of some software than Packman does. It is not necessary to uninstall Packman as the two can co-exist for now. |
