When Ida installs an application, the task will typically will have a configuration step in which special requirements for Queen's installs are set, license keys or files are applied and any recommended settings are selected. These configuration changes may be applied separately from the install as a tweak. Also Ida can now make changes to the configuration of the operating system without there being a piece of software associated with that change. Tweaks may be recommended by Ida if Ida sees something on your system indicating they are useful or necessary. Recommended tweaks can be hidden if not desired. Tweaks can also be requested. Some tweaks will be restricted to a certain set of users -most often when they are being tested.
To request a tweak, open the Task Manager and select Add off theTweaks menu. Select a tweak from the list and click Add. The tweak will be added to the list in the Task Manager and can be submitted.
See the Ida Frequently Asked Questions list for more information. Or see the pages for particular tweaks for the particular application off that application's page. There are links to the application pages off the ITServices Software page.
