Symantec EndPoint Protection
| Description: |
Symantec Endpoint Protection protects your PC against computer viruses, spyware and adware. It is recommended that all Queen's Windows users run Symantec Endpoint Protection. Queen's users can install it for free, rather than paying a fee for other anti-virus software. For Windows users Ida will configure Symantec's Live Update tool to update virus definitions daily.
Note that a second anti-virus product should not be installed if one is already installed. The two programs typically will interfere with one another which can render the PC useless. Ida will not recommend the install of Symantec Endpoint Protection if it determines there is already an anti-virus product installed. Ida may be able to uninstall Symantec AntiVirus to install Symantec Endpoint, depending on the version |
