Queen's UniversitySymantec Endpoint Protection - Notes on Latest Release
Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.7200.1146 (aka RU7 MP2) is available from Ida.
All Queen's users can install Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.7200.1146. Ida will recommend this software to users who have an earlier version installed or if Ida detects that there is no anti-virus software installed. It can be selected from the list available from Packages|Install... in the Ida Task manager. If Ida is not recommending it be installed, it probably means another anti-virus program is installed and that should be uninstalled first.
Note that Ida will recommend running LiveUpdate and configuring a weekly scan and daily runs of LiveUpdate as tweaks following the install.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.7200.1146 may be installed on top of most other versions of SEP but other Symantec/Norton anti-virus products should be uninstalled first.

Users may have to ask Ida to do a Check server to see the new recommendations.
