Description: Tn3270 is a terminal emulation program for connecting to computers which use IBM 3270 terminals.

 Requirements & Availability:


This software is available to:  Faculty and Staff who require access to PCICS and/or MVS.


To use this software you require:

  • The current OS X version, 3.2.4, is supported on OS X 10.2.8 and later, and is fully-compatible with OS X 10.5, Leopard.
  • A previous OS X version, 3.1.7, is compatible with OS X 10.1.5.
  • The Classic version of tn3270, 2.5b5, is compatible with older MacOS versions.

To use tn3270, the host computer must provide a telnet server which supports the extensions for 3270 terminals. On your Macintosh, you must be able to connect to the host server using TCP/IP.


Licence conditions:
 

  • There is no license fee for either commercial or non-commercial use of the tn3270 application.
  • The tn3270 source code is freely-licensed for non-commercial use, but must be licensed for commercial use.
