Java Web Application Hosting Service

 

The Java Web Application Hosting Service allows departments to host their own JSP web applications on a central ITServices server. ITServices will provide users with an instance of the Jakarta Tomcat application server in both a secure development and production environment.

Getting Started

Eligibility:

• This service is currently available to Queen's departments.

Account Request:

• To request an account you must complete the following steps:
  1. Fill out and submit the online request form
  2. Sign and return the Service Agreement to the ITServices General Office (G15)

Additional Information

Service Provision:

• An Account on the production server (webapp.queensu.ca)
• An Account on the development server (webappdev.queensu.ca)
• Backup and disaster recovery for the production and development servers
• 250MB of disk space

Note: Account owners can request additional disk space by completing the online request form .
