Personal Web Space

Queen's University students, staff, and faculty are eligible to have personal web space within QShare and the Queen's Wiki. Staff and faculty are also eligible to have personal web space on the POST Unix server.

QShare: All accounts are automatically created with a "www" directory, which is the directory where public web content should be uploaded.

POST Server: Please visit the "Account Setup" page to review detailed steps on account creation.
Wiki: Log in to the Queen's Wiki and follow the Setting up your Personal Space Tutorial.

The servers are UNIX based
Web/disk space is limited to 100mb.
To request additional disk space please email g13-l@lists.queensu.ca. Please visit the "Storage Fees" section of the "Service Fees" page for pricing information.
PHP is enabled on the POST server
MySQL databases are not available for personal accounts
Personal accounts on the POST server will have a URL of:
http://post.queensu.ca/~your_net_id
Personal accounts on the QShare server will have a URL of:
https://qshare.queensu.ca/Users01/~your_net_id/www/
