  • Daniel is a third year student in Life Sciences and Linguistics.
  • He is fluent in English (native), French (professional), and Standard Chinese (conversational); and is currently learning German and Russian.
  • His specialized interests include articulatory phonetics, second language acquisition, and linguistic typology.
  • He strongly advocates the usage of interlinear morphemic glossing and the International Phonetic Alphabet in linguistic pedagogy and translation.
  • After graduation, he plans on pursuing medicine and hopes to continue linguistics in later life.
  • He was born in Toronto, raised in Oakville and Markham, and his family’s ancestral language was Eastern Min.

Rachel Puma

  • Rachel is a fourth year student in Linguistics and Psychology.
  • She is fluent in English and will be learning Italian and Spanish in the upcoming school year.
  • She has special interest in psycholinguistics, semantics, and syntax, focusing on the logical interpretation of speech.
  • After graduation she plans to attend Law school, hoping to continue her education at Queen's Law.
  • She is from Burlington, Ontario.

 Lyndsay Woolridge

  • Lyndsay is a fourth year Linguistics major with a minor in Psychology.
  • She is fluent in English, speaks some French, and has studied Latin.
  • Her main interests include psycholinguistics, phonetics, and sociolinguistics. After graduating, she intends to pursue a Master's degree in Forensic Linguistics.
  • Lyndsay is originally from Mount Albert, Ontario.

 Brea Lutton

  • Brea is a third year student with a major in Linguistics and a minor in World Language Studies.
  • She is fluent in English, proficient in Spanish, and is studying German, Italian, and Portuguese.
  • She is especially interested in morphology, syntax, and the processes associated with primary language acquisition.
  • After completing her undergraduate degree at Queen's, she hopes to attend law school.
  • She is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.
  • She grew up in Canada, the United States, Australia, and Qatar.
