Linguistics Talks

Monday, March 20 at 2:30 in Jeffrey Hall 234

Three graduate students in linguistics from the University of Toronto will present ongoing research on Canadian English. The talks will take place during the Canadian English course.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about how sociolinguistic work is done at the graduate level.

Tuesday, March 28 at 10:00 in Chernoff Hall Auditorium

University of Toronto sociolinguist Sali Tagliamonte will present research from her Ontario Dialects project. Her talk will take place during the Introduction to Linguistics course (LING 100).
Sali is well known in the field as a pioneer of the variationist research methodology, and we are very lucky to have her at Queen’s.

All are welcome!
