International Education Week: LLCU events

International Education Week is taking place November 13-17, 2017. It  is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

LLCU will celebrate this week with three movie nights:

Monday 13 November, 7:00 pm, Dunning Hall 11

When the Moors ruled in Europe   

Join British historian Bettany Hughes as she examines a long-buried chapter of European history--the rise and fall of Islamic culture in what is now Spain and Portugal. You’ll see how Moorish advances in mathematics, astronomy, art, and agriculture helped propel the West out of the Dark Ages and into the Renaissance.

Zeinab and Hussein are the hard-working parents of a family in Cairo. One day, their daughter announces that she is getting married. When Zeinab and Hussein meet the groom's parents, the latter make a series of over-the-top demands for the wedding.
