The Department has a large number of research seminars, which play an important role in our research and graduate programs. These seminars often have outside speakers, but more frequently consist of a series of lectures by faculty members, graduate students, or visitors. In addition to the research seminars, we have two colloquium series. The Departmental Colloquium convenes on Friday afternoons with talks usually given by visiting mathematicians.
