Ms. Eileen Beaudette

Eileen Beaudette began her musical journey as a member of the Riverdale String Ensemble in Cornwall, Ontario, where she grew up. Studies in Montreal with Otto Joachim and in New York City with Paul Doktor led her to Kingston where she completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) first class at Queen's University under the guidance of Tibor Vaghy.

Eileen has participated in numerous chamber music series and festivals across Canada, most notably the Banff Summer Institute of the Arts, Music on the Rideau, Montreal's Chapelle Historique du Bon-Pasteur, KSA's Music in Your Eyes, Munch Music, Back to Back Bach, St. George's Summer and Lenten series and the Queen's University Faculty Artist Series. She is an alumnus of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, l'Orchestre des jeunes du Qu├ębec and the Banff School of Fine Arts.

A member of the Kingston Symphony since 1978, she was appointed Principal Viola in 1988 and has performed as a soloist with them on several occasions. Eileen shares her love of music with string players young and old, both in her private studio and as a term adjunct lecturer of viola and chamber music at Queen's University. She performs regularly throughout Kingston with various chamber music ensembles including Triola Trio, Quartessence, the Kingston Baroque Soloists and the Kingston Chamber Players.
