G.E.M.S. is currently under re-construction and will re-launch Fall 2010 in the Open Journal System format, indexed and searchable by all major search engines. Thank you for your patience.

Nominations and applications are now being accepted for the positions of Co-Editor of GEMS, as well as for those interested in copyediting, layout and/or CSS design and programming. Nominations and statements of interest for Co-Editors (or any other position) should be emailed to grimecochairs@gmail.com by August 30, 2010. We hope to announce the Co-Editors by September 30, 2010.

 

G. E. M. S. (Gender, Education, Music, and Society) is a peer-reviewed, on-line journal that explores the myriad intersections between gender, education, music and society. Emphasis is on the ways in which music teaching and learning can be used to re-dress and eliminate inequalities.
