How to read our course codes:

The elements of a course code are as follows:

• Course Number: in this case MUSC 101 (all music courses are designated "MUSC")
• Partial Unit Identifier: Two asterisks indicate that the unit value of the course is less that 3.0 units, one asterisk indicates that the unit value of the course is less than 6.0 units
• Course Value: the unit value of the course (from 0.0 to 6.0)
• Evening Course Identifier: courses marked "X" are evening courses
• Course Hours: the duration in hours per week and the type of a course; types are:
  • Lecture
  • Seminar
  • Tutorial
  • Practical (laboratory, studio, etc.)
