Established by the Hamlin family of Mississauga, Ontario, in memory of Heather Hamlin, generous supporters of the arts and lifelong lovers of music. Two awards to be given annually to students in the third or fourth year of the Bachelor of Music or B.A. (Hons.) Music program on the basis of financial need and overall achievement: one to a student who has demonstrated exceptional accomplishment in the area of musicology or theory, and a second to a student who has demonstrated exceptional accomplishment in the area of composition. Selection will be made in consultation with the School of Music.
