Power outage - Humphrey Hall and Craine Building

A planned power outage will affect Humphrey Hall and Craine Building on Tuesday, July 22 from 4-10 am while Physical Plant Services staff and contractors connect a new 5kV cable from Botterell Hall to Humphrey Hall.

Please note the following information in preparation for this outage:

  • There are no fire safety implications resulting from this outage as the fire alarm panel for these buildings will be powered by emergency generator power.
  • The passenger elevators in Humphrey Hall (EL1491) and Craine Building (EL1181) will be shutdown at 3:30 pm on Monday, July 21 and will be restored to service at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 22.
  • Occupants in both buildings should power down equipment and computer systems before leaving for the day on Monday, July 21 (or whenever the equipment is last used prior to each shutdown time).
