Access to the new HR PeopleSoft begins


After a very busy and successful cutover weekend, authorized HR PeopleSoft users started accessing the new HR administration system on February 22.

“Support will be key as we move into the post-implementation phase of the project,” says Julie Mekarski, Director, Client Services. “System users are encouraged to use the various support mechanisms available if they need help as they familiarize themselves with HR PeopleSoft.”

The HR PeopleSoft Support Centre is available to provide help if and when you encounter an issue in using the new system. The support centre will provide a single point of contact for assistance. It will also monitor any trending issues that emerge across the community.

All staff and faculty users will also have three other channels available for accessing support:

• Log your issue for follow-up anytime (24 hours a day, seven days a week) through an online issue-tracking tool called iTrack. Expected turnaround for a response is one business day.

• If necessary, call the phone support line at (613)533-6000, ext. 78855. It will be available for calls Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – noon and 1 – 4 pm.

• Starting February 27, timekeepers and departmental HR administrators can go to the PeopleSoft training room in Nicol Hall room 321 to get more information or work with HR PeopleSoft with the assistance of an instructor. Drop-in centre dates/hours are published on the support page under PeopleSoft on the HR website.
