2009-02-10
Alfred and Isabel Bader's love story is told in ‘Love, Interrupted', airing Thursday, Feb. 12 at 9 pm on CBC. They met on a ship crossing the Atlantic in 1949, and after nine days, Alfred proposed. But they did not marry until 1981. The documentary explains what happened in between and what forces kept the lovers apart for so long.
‘Love, Interrupted' was filmed partly at Queen's with the help of the Film and Media Studies Department.
“For all of Alfred's success, this is the defining narrative of his life, his love for Isabel,” says producer and writer Alison Armstrong.
