2011-11-08

Two Remembrance Day services will take place on Queen’s campus on November 11.

Brian Yealland, University Chaplain, will conduct a service at Grant Hall beginning at 10:53 am. A West Campus service will be held at Duncan McArthur Hall auditorium from 10:45 am to 11:15 am with presentations by bachelor of education students.

Classes on both campuses are cancelled during the 10:30 am to 11:30 am time slot.

The Alma Mater Society will have a display explaining the historical relationship between Queen’s and the Canadian military on the lower level of the John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC) from 9 am until 8 pm. The Memorial Room in the JDUC, which commemorates the 351 Queen’s students and alumni who died in the First and Second World Wars, will be open to the public on November 11 as well.
