Canada Post strike ends

The Canada Post (CPC) strike that began at the beginning of June is now over. In the coming days, the process of receiving and distributing mail at Queen’s will return to normal.

“We are very happy that the matter has been resolved with minimal disruption to the Queen’s community,” says Eoin MacDonald, Director, Strategic Procurement Services. “Mail operations should be functioning as usual within a few days.”

Individuals should expect some delays as Queen’s Postal Services (QPS) works to distribute a significant amount of accumulated mail. Staff members at QPS have been sorting and processing domestic mail throughout the strike in order to ensure that any delays are minimal.

Campus Mail, Inter University Transit Service (IUTS), overseas and US mail, which were unaffected by the strike, will continue to be received and delivered as usual.
