Chemist spearheads international science journal
Chemistry professor Gregory Jerkiewicz has been appointed editor-in-chief of Electrocatalysis, a new, international journal dedicated to electrochemical reactions.
“There is a growing interest in this field, especially in light of recent developments in the area of hydrogen economy, which is the production of hydrogen by water electrolysis and its use in fuel cells to generate electricity and heat,” says Dr. Jerkiewicz.
Published by Springer, one of the largest publishers of scientific books and journals in the world, the new journal is the only forum devoted solely to electrocatalysis research papers, letters and review articles.
“We're setting out to provide a leading international forum for the exchange of scientific ideas for academic, government and industrial researchers active in the field of electrocatalysis and electrocatalytic materials,” adds Dr. Jerkiewicz.
The first issue will be available in January 2010.
