Commission seeking feedback on mental health discussion paper

The Principal's Commission on Mental Health continues to collect comments and suggestions about its discussion paper, Towards a Mental Health Strategy for Queen's, which was released in June.

“Community input has been a vital part of this process since we began our work,” says commission member Jennifer Medves, Director, School of Nursing. “We continue to welcome feedback on the issues in our discussion paper, our proposed recommendations and if there are any significant omissions.”

With that in mind, the commission will host a community forum on October 16 for all members of the Queen's community. The forum will provide an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas as the commission continues to integrate what it is hearing into its final report, expected to be released later this fall. The commission also invites comments via email at cmh@queensu.ca.

The commission was established in September 2011 to make recommendations to Principal Daniel Woolf that would provide a framework for a mental health strategy for Queen's.

The community forum takes place Tuesday, October 16 from 4:30 – 6:00 pm in the Red Room on the first floor of Kingston Hall.
