Deadline nears to confirm grad participation
Friday, May 11 is the last day faculty members can book online for regalia to participate in the academic procession during spring convocation ceremonies.
“Our ceremonies are the culmination of a student’s academic career, and their transition beyond. It is meaningful to have those individuals who mentored our graduates help to celebrate these achievements,” says Brent Cameron, convocation and communications administrator.
Faculty members who are Queen’s graduates can book their regalia and confirm their participation by filling out the online form. Members of the academic procession who are not Queen’s graduates must make their own arrangements for hoods; however, they may reserve a black gown and confirm their participation using the online form.
Faculty members not requiring regalia can still confirm their attendance in the period leading up to the ceremonies after the May 11 deadline for booking regalia.
The full convocation schedule including the department and faculty breakdown is posted on the University Registrar website. Faculty members can pick up their regalia 30 minutes before each ceremony in Kingston Hall Room 209.
If there is difficulty submitting the form, please contact Mr. Cameron by email or call ext. 74050.
