(Left to right) Gillian Moore, Kiyoye Sugiman-Marangos and Catherine Filteau of Queen's Development and Peace helped create a display in the Queen's Centre to show the impact of disposable water bottles.Members of Queen's Development and Peace created a water bottle display at the Queen's Centre April 20 to generate awareness about the detrimental environmental impact of bottled water and the social justice aspects of water privatization. The display was part of the Development and Peace campaign to support water justice worldwide and advocate for bottled water free zones. Group members collected discarded water bottles from across campus to show how many water bottles are disposed of in just a couple of days. Principal Daniel Woolf has committed to reducing and eventually ending the sale of bottled water on the Queen’s campus. For more information on Queen's Development and Peace visit the Facebook page.
