Employee rights and responsibilities in the event of a labour disruption
Frequently asked questions and answers about the impact of a potential CUPE labour disruption on employees have been posted to the university’s labour news site.
Mediation begins today between the union and the university. The parties will be in a legal strike/lockout position as of 12:01 am on Friday, July 29. The university is focused on reaching a negotiated settlement.

Question topics include pay, vacation, leaves, picket lines and building access. More will be added in the coming days.
The provost has sent a memo to all QUFA members outlining their rights and responsibilities under Article 12 of their collective agreement should a CUPE work stoppage occur.
