Flags on campus remain lowered for Professor Emeritus Kilpatrick
Flags on campus are lowered in memory of Ross S. Kilpatrick, a professor emeritus and beloved member of the Department of Classics.
Dr. Kilpatrick, a specialist in Latin poetry and particularly Horace, came to Queen's in 1970. He was the long-time head of the Department of Classics. He retired with great accolade in 2000 and continued to write and actively instruct graduate students.
Dr. Kilpatrick is resting at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Tuesday, February 28 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 29 at the Cathedral Church of St. George (corner of King and Johnson streets) at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St George's Cathedral Trust, or to the charity of your choice.
