Flags lowered for former vice-dean Bob Maudsley
Flags on campus are lowered in memory of Bob Maudsley, former vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine and member of the University Council from 1984-1996.
Dr. Maudsley, who passed away on October 25, received his medical degree from Queen’s in 1962 and during his career held appointments at McMaster University, Dalhousie University and the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He also held leadership positions at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax and in 2000, received the Duncan Graham Award from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for his outstanding contributions to medical education.
Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories on Sunday, November 4, from 1-4 p.m. at the Royal Botanical Gardens (Auditorium B), 680 Plains Rd. W., Burlington. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Salvation Army or the Good Shepherd would be appreciated.
