Flags lowered for long-time staff member

Flags on campus are lowered and will remain lowered until Monday, January 23 in memory of long-time staff member Jean Whittle (Caduc).
Ms Whittle joined Queen’s in 1982 and retired in 1999 after 17 years of employment. During that time, she held positions in Douglas Library, Office of the Vice-Principal (Institutional Relations), and the Office of the Vice-Principal (Research and Academic Services).
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral – Township Chapel (435 Davis Drive, Kingston) on Saturday, January 21 at 2 pm, followed by a reception in the Gordon F. Tompkins Reception Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Ms Whittle’s memory.
