Flags lowered for Professor Emeritus Coleman
Professor Emeritus Albert John ColemanFlags on campus are lowered and will remain lowered until Wednesday, October 6 in honour of Professor Emeritus Albert John Coleman.
Professor Coleman joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in 1960 as the head. He served as the head of the department for 20 years. In 1983 he retired and became professor emeritus. Professor Coleman was always very active in volunteering for a number of national organizations.
The family will receive friends at Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home (309 Johnson Street) on Monday, October 4 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. George’s Cathedral, corner of King East and Johnson streets, on Tuesday, October 5 at 2 pm followed by cremation.
Memorial donations can be made to the Queen’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics or St. George’s Cathedral.
