Flags lowered for Professor Emeritus Forrest

Dr. William Forrest

Flags on campus will remain lowered until Friday morning in honour of William Forrest.

Dr. Forrest was a professor emeritus in the Faculty of Medicine. He became the second director of the School of Rehabilitation Therapy in 1973 and moved the school into its present location in the Louise D. Acton Building.

He earned MD and MSc (Med) degrees from Queen’s in 1963 and 1965, respectively.

A service to celebrate Dr. Forrest’s life will be held at Bay Park Baptist Church (775 Progress Avenue) on Thursday, August 5 at 1 pm. Memorial donations can be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Bay Park Baptist Building Fund, or the Leprosy Mission (which can be placed through Dr. Forrest’s friend Paul G. Payne, Box 324, Odessa, ON, K0H 2H0).
