Flags lowered for Professor Law
Flags on campus are lowered and will remain lowered until Friday, April 29 for Professor Emeritus Cecil Law.
Professor Law joined Queen’s and the School of Business in 1966 while serving as president of the Canadian Operations Research Society. In addition to his professor duties, he served as head of Operational Research and Computing. During his time at Queen’s, he became executive director of the Canadian Institute of Guided Ground Transport, a position he held from 1972-1983.
After taking a sabbatical to work at IBM, he returned to Queen’s School of Business full time and established its microcomputer labs. He retired from Queen’s School of Business in 1992 as a professor emeritus.
