Goodes Hall expansion update
As undergraduate students return for the start of the fall term, the 75,000 square foot expansion of Goodes Hall, home to Queen’s School of Business, is taking shape.
Inside the existing building the construction crew is finishing two new, 55-seat classrooms on the 400 level in the old Victoria School section of Goodes. Both classrooms will be complete and ready for use as of September 12 when Commerce and Master of Global Management classes start.
Outside the building, Union Street bordering the construction area will be modified to facilitate traffic in both directions as of September 3. To accommodate continued excavation on the tunnel linking the Tindall Field underground parking lot to the QSB underground lot, the road will temporarily jog to the north (encroaching slightly on the construction site). Union Street will be completely restored by November.
The new wing of Goodes Hall will open in Spring 2012. For updates on the expansion progress and to view live webcam footage, visit www.goodeshallexpansion.com.
