Lisa NewtonTwo senior appointments in the Human Resources Department set in motion the implementation of recommendations of an independent HR review completed late last year.
Al Orth has been Acting Associate V-P (Human Resources) since the fall, and he is appointed to the role on a continuing basis effective February 1, 2011.
Lisa Newton is appointed to the new role of Director and Counsel, Employee and Labour Relations effective March 7, 2011.
"I am delighted to be continuing to work with Al and I am thrilled to welcome Lisa to Queen’s,” says Caroline Davis, V-P (Finance and Administration). “The breadth and depth of their experience in this critical area will ensure effective HR services for Queen’s employees.”
