ITServices offers winter workshops
This month ITServices introduces new workshops for staff and faculty at Queen's.
The Computer Users' Passport @ Queen's is a new certificate program comprising six one-hour modules designed to introduce and/or refresh basic computing skills. These sessions replace the introductory level courses previously offered by ITServices. Participants will earn a “passport stamp” after completing each of the modules.
The modules include file management (Windows Vista/XP); security; effective web use; spreadsheets (MS – Excel 2007); word processing (MS – Word 2007) and presentations (MS - PowerPoint 2007).
ITServices also offers the Emerging Technology Centre's showcase series. Workshops on podcasting, video streaming, as well as lunch-time lectures on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are available.
All workshops are free of charge for Queen's staff and faculty.
