QSB students named Next Top Ad Execs

Queen’s School of Business students Rachel Zimmer and Bram Warshafsky are two of Canada’s Next Top Ad Execs after winning a national competition that involved developing an innovative, non-traditional marketing campaign. The students share the honour with McMaster University’s Mark Scattolon.

196 teams from 28 business schools across the country entered the competition, which was sponsored by Chevrolet. The students’ objective was to help launch the new fuel-efficient Chevrolet Cruze, coming to Canada this fall. Ten teams advanced to the finals, and presented their ideas to a panel of 16 industry and academic experts gathered at McMaster’s DeGroote School of Business.

Winners were selected for developing the most inventive and executable pre-launch campaigns for the Cruze. Each of them drove away with their own 2011 Chevrolet Cruze to reward their efforts.
