Queen's Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Wins Award, Prize
The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine had a prominent showing at the annual meeting of the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society (CAS) in Vancouver last week.
"Despite being a relatively small department on a national scale, our success and prominence at the national meeting of our peers demonstrates the dedication shown by all of our faculty to research and education, in addition to excellent patient care,” says Joel Parlow, Head of the Queen's Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine."
Brian Milne was awarded the Richard Knill prize for the best research paper out of the hundreds presented at the meeting. In the same ceremony Ted Ashbury accepted the annual Clinical Teacher Award to recognize his huge educational contributions in the Queen's Faculty of Health Sciences. In addition, many excellent presentations were given by Queen's faculty and residents.
