Seeking staff volunteers for Principal's Welcoming Ceremony

This year, Queen's expects to welcome more than 3,600 new students, members of the class of 2012, from across Canada and around the world (59 countries represented).

This year's Principal's Welcoming Ceremony takes place Tuesday, Sept. 2 from 10:15 to 11:15 am on the grounds of Summerhill. It will feature remarks by the Principal, the AMS President, Rector, Chaplain, Mayor of Kingston and a representative from the Alumni Association.

Help is needed to greet and usher groups of students arriving with their dons from Residence to their designated spots on the lawn of Summerhill. Volunteers would be needed from 9:45 to about 11:45 am. Each volunteer will be provided a t-shirt to wear at the event and is welcome to join the Principal's Welcoming Lunch following the ceremony.

Those interested in helping out are asked to email principal@queensu.ca
