Support Centre eases transition to PeopleSoft student administration system
Support is available for faculty and staff using the PeopleSoft student administration system that launches this week.
“The PeopleSoft Student System Support Centre will allow us to provide the most effective service we can to the entire Queen’s community,” says Andrew Ness, associate university registrar (student records and services).
Requests for assistance should be made directly to the Support Centre using the online form, or by calling (613) 533-6000 ext. 79574 between 10 am and 4 pm.
Every support issue is centrally recorded in an online tracking system and directed to the most appropriate person for response.
“The Support Centre will effectively manage the higher volume of support requests, providing staff and faculty the help they need as quickly as possible,” says Mr. Ness.
In addition to support, two important training sessions will be repeated this week for system users who missed earlier opportunities to attend. The sessions include:
• Campus Community 101 (March 10, two sessions from 9 am-noon and 1-4 pm) instructs participants on the process of viewing, adding and updating various biographic/demographic and administrative types of information for a student or an organization.
• Enrollment Viewing (March 11 at 9 am-noon) outlines how student enrollment information can be viewed in PeopleSoft, and how to run and interpret standard queries and reports.
