University attracts crowds at annual fair
More than 200 Queen's faculty, staff and student volunteers saw a record 116,000 visitors at the annual Ontario Universities' Fair (OUF) held in Toronto the weekend of Sept. 25.
"I think everyone agrees that this year's group of students showed a level of interest and engagement that we've never before seen at this fair," said Associate University Registrar Stuart Pinchin. "Our faculty, staff and students, from almost every faculty and department at Queen's, tirelessly answered questions from thousands of people and managed to keep smiling throughout the weekend. I don't think we can begin to thank people enough for all their hard work."
The fair gives high school students the opportunity to visit booths and presentations from 21 Ontario universities.
This fair launches the fall recruitment season. Admission coordinators and representatives left Toronto on Sunday night to recruit students to Queen's from all over North America and around the world.
