Your thoughts on changes to post-secondary education
This is a reminder that the Queen’s community has been encouraged to respond through a campus website to eight questions the provincial government is asking about post-secondary education in a discussion paper released at the end of June. Universities and colleges have been tasked with soliciting feedback about the questions from their communities.
“We’re interested in knowing our community’s views on these questions,” says Alan Harrison, Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic). “In addition, we hope the website will spark broader consultation and discussion of the underlying issues among our community members.”
University representatives and individuals from other stakeholder groups have participated in consultations between the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and university, college and other representatives over the summer on four of the questions posed.
The subjects included quality teaching and learning outcomes, experiential learning, technology-enabled learning, and expanded credential options and supplements.
