Black Friday shopping: Queen's University expert


Queen’s University marketing professor Ken Wong is available to talk about the impact of Black Friday shopping on Canadians.

Professor Wong notes that for Canadians the more important date is Cyber Monday (Nov. 26) when online U.S. retailers offer some of their best deals for virtual shoppers.

“Canadians now have access to great shopping bargains in the U.S. from their computer at home. They no longer have to drive across the border and stand in long lineups at U.S. malls,” says Professor Wong, adding that Black Friday has now turned into ‘black week of Thanksgiving.’
