Divorce in the New Year

2010-03-19

With many couples having toughed it out over the holidays so their kids could have a nice Christmas, Nick Bala, Queen’s University expert in family and children’s law, is available to discuss the notion that the New Year is ‘divorce season’ in Canada.
According to Bala, with the stress of the holidays fresh in their minds, many couples are choosing to call it quits in the New Year. In fact, January 8th is actually known as “Divorce Day” in Britain.
